Falmouth

Woods Hole, bike paths and the Vineyard ferry.

Falmouth
Falmouth, Massachusetts

Falmouth sits on the southwest corner of the Cape with about 70 miles of coastline and dozens of ponds. Bartholomew Gosnold named it after his home port of Falmouth, England.

As the Cape's second most populous town, Falmouth has theater, summer festivals, art and antique shows, and the famous Falmouth Road Race every August. The village of Woods Hole is home to world-class ocean science and the main ferry to Martha's Vineyard.
