Questions & answers
The things guests most often ask before they book. Don't see your question? Ask the owner.
How many people does the house sleep?
Six adults and two children. There is a king bed, a queen bed, two twin beds, and a futon that sleeps two children. If your group is a little different, mention it in your inquiry and the owner will let you know.
How far is the beach, really?
Hardings Beach is about a five-minute walk, roughly 0.4 miles, along a sidewalk on Hardings Beach Road. Stage Harbor Light is about a mile further along the beach.
What do we need to bring?
Less than you think. The house is stocked with beach chairs, beach toys and a bike. There's a washer and dryer, so you can pack light and go home without a suitcase of dirty clothes.
Is there Wi-Fi and TV?
Yes. There is wireless internet, and flat-screen TVs with cable in the living room and the master bedroom, plus a DVD player.
Can we cook out?
Yes. The big back deck has two grills, one gas and one charcoal, plus outdoor seating. Guests often tell us the deck is their favorite part of the house.
Is the house available outside of summer?
Yes. The house is available in summer, fall, winter and spring. The working fireplace makes it cozy in the off-season, and Chatham is quieter and beautiful from September through June.
Can we visit Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard?
Easily. A seasonal ferry to Nantucket leaves from Saquatucket Harbor in Harwich Port, about 12 minutes away. Year-round ferries to Nantucket, and seasonal boats to Martha's Vineyard, leave from Hyannis, about 30 minutes away. The main Martha's Vineyard ferry runs from Woods Hole in Falmouth.
How do I book?
Send a rental inquiry with your dates. It goes straight to the owner, who will reply by email, usually within a day, with availability, rates and next steps.
