Orleans sits where the Cape bends north, with the Atlantic on one side and Cape Cod Bay on the other. Nauset Beach is a classic barrier beach with big surf, and Rock Harbor on the bay side is known for its sunsets and charter fishing fleet.
Pleasant Bay, shared with Chatham, is a favorite for kayaking and sailing.
